Dan Laurie painting
Is ‘the feminine principle’ dead?
Are we now confined to an androgynous view of the sexes as not just equal in power – as they should be – but identical in nature – androgynous.
The ar!st Diana Laurie unashamedly expresses ‘the feminine principle’ – both the intrinsic value of intense personal love, and of ‘universal love’ – that is; the love of beauty – the intuitive perception of the wonder of the human body, and of love itself as a transformative healing power.
Her minimalist nudes reflect the spirit of Matisse, Bonnard and Picasso but with her own unique hand, acutely identifable, leaving an unforgettable imprint on the mind – that of the sublime beauty of the human form.
What is needed now is not further negative expressions of ‘the state of the world’, or of personal psychological dysphoria, but of the love of life & the love of love itself.
Love & Beauty.
